Spread the Word
Tell your friends, family
and co-workers about Lilah's Fund and Sunday in the Park with Lilah.
Greater awareness helps us raise more money both directly, by
attendance at the event and donations to the fund, and indirectly,
by making corporate sponsorship opportunities more attractive to
companies.
Come out next June and
Ask for Sponsorships from your Family and Friends
Last year, over 500
people attended the event and raised almost $15,000 in individual or
family pledges. We'd like to raise those pledges to $25,000 this
year and encourage you to register and solicit donations on-line so
that making the request is extremely easy. Great prizes are
available for our top fundraisers and it is an easy way to teach
your children or grandchildren how their actions can make a real
difference.
Make Lilah's Fund your
Charity of Choice to Mark Significant Events
Our partners at SickKids
will send out tribute cards to mark significant events (births,
anniversaries, etc) or send condolences on the passing of a loved
one when a donation is made to Lilah's Fund though SickKids
Foundation. While tribute donations can be made on-line, we have
found it easiest to make these donations by calling the Foundation
at (416) 813-6166.
A number of children have also requested donations to the fund in
lieu of gifts from birthday party guests, and SickKids foundation
will send cards to the birthday child in order to acknowledge the
donation. Special thanks to Mara Berg, Adrienne Klien, Jonah Opler,
Mya Moscoe, Ryan Pollak, Carley-Rose Horowitz who have made this
thoughtful gesture in 2006/2007.
Volunteer for Lilah's
Fund
While the event will
hopefully go off without any significant hitches, putting together
something of this magnitude takes a great amount of work both
beforehand on on the day of. If you are interested in volunteering,
please send us an e-mail and let us know what you would like to do
[click here to e-mail us now].

Partners
This year, we are extremely fortunate once again to be one of the recipients
of the Gentle Ben Golf Tournament. The event was held
in Dallas in November and raised over $200,000, $30,000 of which was given
to Lilah's Fund to support the important work that we do.
We are very excited to announce the support of our friends at ECHOage,
a socially and environmentally minded, one-stop shopping, birthday party tool.
When a child's party is registered with ECHOage, cash gifts are split between a charity
that has been chosen by the child and the parent, who can then buy just one more
substantial gift that the child is sure to appreciate.
Also, we continue to have the support of Cornerstone52Foundation, a local charity that
provides customized holiday cards for individuals and businesses that want to make a charitable
donation instead of purchasing holiday gifts. For more information about this program or to order cards,
see their website at www.cardshelpingkids.com.
If you are involved with a fundraising event that raises money for local charities,
please consider putting us forward as a potential recipient.
We promise to put the funds to good work! |
